Social Science (Cine en 3D)

Este viernes hemos tenido la suerte de disfrutar en el salón de actos de un impresionante documental en 3D sobre el Sistema Solar en castellano, para completar lo que hemos aprendido en Social Science.

Aquí estamos disfrutando a la par que aprendiendo sobre las estrellas super gigantes y muchas otras cosas.

Un misionero viene a vernos por el DOMUND

Hoy hemos tenido el placer de conocer a Lalo (que en realidad se llama Álvaro) que es un joven misionero que se pertenece a la Congregación del Santísimo Redentor. 

Estudió en un colegio al lado del nuestro, y fué a misa y a catequesis a la Parroquia del Perpetuo Socorro  que está muy cerquita del cole. Cuando estaba en la universidad daba catequesis a otros niños y le gustaba mucho hablarles de Dios. Poco a poco se fue dando cuenta de que lo que más le gustaba en el mundo era eso: compartir el amor de Dios con los demás. Y así fué como Dios le pidió que se hiciera misionero.

Ha estado en muchos sitios de misión por España, y nos ha contado su experiencia de cuando estuvo en Colombia compartiendo el amor de Dios con muchas personas de allí. Nos ha puesto algunas fotos y nos ha contado sus anécdotas ¡tarántula en la Vereda incluida!

Unit 1. The Solar System

We sang a song (with some movements) and learnt that there are 8 planets in the Solar System.

Here are the lyrics of our song:

"Eight planets in the Solar System (hold up eight fingers)
At the centre is the Sun (draw a big circle with both hands)
Telescopes can help us see them (mime looking through a telescope)
Here they are, one by one (open fingers as if counting)
Mercury and Venus (point up to the sky, indicating Mercury then Venus)
Our planet Earth and Mars (pupils hug themselves, then point up to the sky at Mars)
Then Jupiter and Saturn (point up to the sky, indicating Jupiter then Saturn)
The biggest planets by far (stretch out arms)
After Saturn comes Uranus (hands on hips and tilt to the side)
Which orbits on its side (turn around once)
Then number eight is Neptune (hold up eight fingers)
And that’s the end of our guide! (make ‘time out’ gesture with hands)
